Class Schedule and Sequence

Orchestra Seating Policy

**Preschool group time in 30 min. increments 9-9:30; 9:30-10; 10-10:30***

• Students in Preschool Program can bypass Pre-Ensemble group and promote into Beginning Ensemble Group if they have mastered skills of the Pre-Ensemble Group
• All other students are promoted in sequence
• Students who are coming into String Project with playing experience can audition and will be placed into one the above groups based on playing skill and music reading skills.
• Saturday Only students have to play a jury to promote to the next level.
• Promotions in MSC sequence are done separately at the end of each year based on exit exams.
  • Preschool students and Pre-Ensemble students will automatically be placed in MSC Unit 1 once they promote into Beginning Ensemble group class.

Preschool, Pre Ensemble, Beginning Ensemble, EO: $525

IO: $725

CO: $925

Saturday Only: All are $350, except CO $275

Preschool Program:

Preschool violin or cello group class, held in 30 min. increments. Jr. Preschoolers are students ages 4-5 with no playing experience.  Sr. Preschoolers are students with playing experience but is not old enough to go into beginning ensemble classes.  Students in preschool can promote and bypass Pre-Ensemble classes.

Pre Ensemble Classes :these are students who are beginner player ages 6 and above with no experience, or beginner players with some experience but are not ready to go into beginning ensemble groups.

PVEA: Pre Violin Ensemble A

PVEB: Pre Violin Ensemble B

PVLaE: Pre Viola Ensemble

PCE: Pre Cello Ensemble

Beginning Ensemble Classes

BVEA: Beginning Violin Ensemble Class A

A Pre School Violin Student:

Jr. Preschool →Sr. Preschool→BVEA→BVEB→EO→IO→CO

Or

Jr. Preschool →Sr. Preschool→PVEB→BVEA→BVEB→EO→IO→CO

School Age (age 6 and above) Cello Student:

PCE→BCEA→BCEB→EO→IO→CO
